AGIS AGAPIOU

Agis studied law at the University of Thrace, Greece (1983) and at the Exeter University where he obtained the Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial Law (1984). He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 1985.

Agis joined the firm as an associate in 1985 and became a partner in 1989. Agis deals with corporate finance, taxation and tax planning, company law, banking and general commercial work including the acquisition and disposal of commercial properties. He also advises on administrative law. Agis has spoken at business seminars in Cyprus and abroad on a wide range of issues. He was member of  the board of AEL Football Club acting as the General Secretary and Spokesman of the Club .  He was also member of the Board of Football Club Association of Cyprus.  He sits on the board of Astra Radio as acting president.  He is a member of the Cyprus House of Parliament and as a member of the Parliament he sits on the Legal Committee on the European Affairs Committee and on the Committee for Institutions Merits and the Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman).  He represents the  Cyprus House of Parliament in COSAC.
