Experience

Since joining the firm he has dealt exclusively with shipping and has undertaken, inter alia, over 4000 vessel sale, purchase and related transactions. He advises ship-owners, ship managers and ship brokers on a wide range of issues, including, tax, vessel registration requirements, chartering, sale, purchase, trading contracts and COA’s, shipbuilding, insurance and regulatory compliance.

Michael has written numerous articles on shipping, and has spoken at a number of shipping seminars both in Cyprus and abroad. In addition to advising the firm’s commercial clients, Michael has also advises the Cyprus government and various foreign governments on aspects of shipping law

Michael is a founding member of the Mediterranean Maritime Arbitrators Association, and a Special Agent of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
