Christos practice focuses on complex commercial litigation disputes. He primarily deals with cross-border disputes, in particular with corporate fraud and contractual disputes. He is engaged in obtaining and resisting freezing orders, jurisdictional challenges and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. He is also a member of the EU & Competition Law and Data Protection Law practices. With respect to EU & Competition matters he handles Merger Control clearance applications before the Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) and he acts as counsel in antitrust infringement proceedings for both complainants and for undertakings investigated of breaching competition laws. In relation to Data Protection he is advising multinational groups that are headquartered in Cyprus with respect to GDPR compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Christos trained for almost a year at a boutique Brussels law office where he worked on cases before the European Court of Justice in the fields of Competition Law (State Aid and Antitrust), Public Procurement and Internal Market Law. He also spent five months at DG COMP where he engaged in handling antitrust complaints in the pharma sector.
He obtained an LL.M. at EU law from KU Leuven with Magna Cum Laude (‘Great Distinction’) and he graduated with an LL.B. from Queen Mary University of London with First Class Honours.
