GEORGE ANTONIOU

George has experience in general litigation matters and, as a member of the Banking Litigation Team, George has extensive knowledge and experience in banking litigation.  He represents national and foreign banking and financial institutions, as well as investment funds, before Courts of all levels in Cyprus and advises them on litigation, out of court disputes, legislation and regulations, both of national and European scope.

As part of his work, among others, he deals with debt finance, assisting clients in reclaiming debts and with procedural steps concerning the enforcement of obtained judgments, including enforcements of securities, such as mortgages (foreclosure). He advises and drafts various legal documents, including facility and security documents, notices and letters, as provided by Cyprus law, pleadings, applications and petitions before the Court and all necessary documents to facilitate procedures concerning the abovementioned matters. He is also involved in the resolution of disputes out of court over facilities and other banking services, and therefore drafts settlement agreements and ancillary documents.

Commercial litigation is also an area George is heavily involved with. In addition, George also has experience in Family, Employment, Tort and Criminal Law.
