Marion is the head of the shipping department and handles a wide range of Ship and Project Finance work.
She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating loan, credit and facility agreements and security documents in financing transactions.
Marion joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2003.
She is frequently instructed to act as the Cyprus correspondent lawyer on matters of Cyprus law by foreign law firms. Before joining the firm, she practiced as an advocate in Cyprus from 1987 to 1992, gaining extensive experience in general litigation, particularly in commercial law, admiralty, banking, and criminal law cases. She has appeared before District Courts, the Supreme Court in its original and appellate jurisdiction, and Assize Courts.
From January 1993 to May 2001, she served as a District Court Judge, handling cases in both civil and criminal jurisdictions. She was elected twice as the Secretary of the Cyprus Judges Association, serving in that position for three years. Appointed by the Supreme Court of Cyprus, she represented the Cyprus judiciary at two conferences of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ). She was also appointed by the Supreme Court of Cyprus as a speaker at a judge’s conference organized by the Supreme Court.
Marion has represented several leading financing banks, financial institutions, major shipowners, and ship managers worldwide. She is noted in numerous reputable international directories and guides for lawyers and consultants as a specialist in her field.
