Michael is the Managing Partner of the firm. He deals with sales, purchase, chartering, financing, taxation and registration of ships and yachts.

He also assists in the negotiation of shipbuilding contracts for merchant ships and yachts.

He has been practicing as an advocate in Cyprus since 1985.

Michael joined the firm as an associate lawyer in 1985, became a partner in 1989, and since January 2024, is the Managing Partner of the firm.

Since joining the firm, he has dealt exclusively with shipping, corporate, and tax planning, advising shipowners, ship managers, and ship brokers on a wide range of issues.

Michael has written numerous articles on shipping and has spoken at several shipping seminars both in Cyprus and abroad. In addition to advising the firm’s commercial clients.

He also advises government and semi-governmental agencies on various aspects of shipping law and has assisted in drafting laws and regulations on Cyprus shipping.

Michael is a special agent of the Republic of the Marshall Islands in Cyprus, a member of the shipping committee of the Cyprus Bar Association, and the legal advisor of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber. He gained entry into the “Leading LAWYER 100” 2011 Guide in the category of “SHIPPING & MARITIME – LEADING LAWYER 100” and is acknowledged among his peers as an expert on shipping and maritime law.

Michael served as president of the Shipping committee of the Cyprus Bar Association.
