MARIA SOCRATOUS

Maria’s main area of practice is immovable property law. She advises both private individuals and corporate clients, (local and international), in respect of the sale, acquisition and leasing of private residential properties and commercial properties. She also acts for a number of high net clients who have invested in large scale projects in Cyprus and advises them on property related matters and drafts specific contracts tailored to their needs.

She has also extensively dealt with banking law with great expertise in banking litigation and consultation. She has advised major banks and credit acquiring companies in matters, amongst others, relating to the statutory framework regulating the restructuring, sale and acquisition of credit facilities and the compulsory sale of mortgaged immovable property.

Maria’s knowledge extends in many other aspects of law such as rent control law, tort law, administration of estate and probate law, administrative and public law and she has dealt with civil and commercial litigation.
